My name is Laina Brown. I love to tell visual stories. So much is communicated through one picture. One can use light, lines, perspective, expression, composition, in so many ways to tell so many different stories. We can read a story in an instant. I love to share these stories through photography and video.
I got into freelance photography work during my second year at the University of Regina in Fine Arts. At the brink of the digital camera revolution I had myself a DSLR and a community yearning for lifestyle photography, and I took all the opporunities I could. Now I work full time in the summers as a wedding photographer and take a variety of volunteer and paid projects during the year as I finish school.
I specialize in wedding photography. I've worked with travel companies, mission organizations, educational institutions, dancers and other artists. I love trying new things and being innovative in my work. There are always interesting stories and new ways to tell them.
