Jaymie and Tim

  • Date Aug 1, 2013

It was the big day, and it was a gorgeous day. Every bride is happy to wake up to sun the morning of their wedding...and so are the photographers. So are the videographers! (that's me!). This was my first big wedding video project and I was pumped. up.
Arriving at Jaymie's acreage gave me a home-like feeling. It was green and flowery and peaceful. Inside everyone was getting their hair and make-up done, so I took a few shots of everyone getting glam'd. There was excitement, but also a calmness. Perhaps playing kids cartoons in the background should be a pre-wedding staple.
Before the ceremony, Jaymie and Tim wrote and read notes to each other. They definitely showed how they were a couple that appreciated the small things, but more importantly they seemed so ready to take this next large step into a life-long commitment to love. They didn't just talk about how they were excited to be married today; they were excited to one day be a couple of seniors, and "holding hands will mean so much more, much more than it even does now" (paraphrase). They want to be in it for the long haul. I'm tellin' yah, you could feel the love.
The ceremony went smoothly, and the occasional hiccup/adaptation (like someone coming in the wrong door, or needing to grab a bit of klinex for the bride) made room for personality and individuality. The wedding was truly Tim and Jaymie's.
It was a very fun day, and I was thrilled to be part of it. Thanks Tim and Jaymie for seeing a gifting in me and letting me put it to work. Love you guys.
